Marjan Sax has studied political science in Amsterdam. She is one of the founders of Mama Cash, an independent fund that supports womens organisations all over the world. Sax worked for Mama Cash in different capacities, both payed and as a volunteer: as director, fundraiser, pr- manager and as chair of the board. As an inheriter who has been investing her money in social change, she has founded a network for women with inherited wealth, ‘die Erbtoechter’ (in Dutch: de Erfdochters). Sax is involved in different realms of society: from the righs for safe abortion, to sexworkers rights and the improvement of the position of (women) refugees. In ‘Sax Consultancy’s she now works as an independent ‘philantropic advisor’ for individuals, foundations and corporations.
